Museum of the Fur Trade is conveniently located only three miles outside of Chadron, Nebraska, and hosts events which celebrate our museum and the history of the fur trade.
Use our events calendar to find an opportunity to learn more about the North American fur trade, as well as connect with your community.
During the 2nd weekend in July, the museum presents the Fur Trade Flag Ceremony describing all the countries and companies that have been involved in the North American fur trade. The event also includes an entry in the parade on the Saturday morning during the event. The event is presented by the NE Department of Tourism.
