After the Lewis & Clark Expedition (1804-06) William Clark was appointed US Superintendent of Indian Affairs in St. Louis. In 1810 he selected this pattern as one to be use as gifts for the western Indian tribes with whom he dealt. The original sample is on exhibit at the Museum of the Fur Trade. 100% cotton, 45"wide. Sold in 1 yard increments only.
